Here at Peace Out Skincare, mental health awareness and suicide prevention matter. In a survey performed by Mental Health America this past September, over half of the 11-17 year olds reported having suicidal thoughts nearly every day. Even more alarming? 27,980 of those young adults were a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
To prevent these distressing statistics from rising, Peace Out Skincare is partnering with The JED Foundation to support their tireless efforts in aiding and supporting the emotional health of our youth. We know the struggles acne-prone teens face daily––both mentally and emotionally, and it’s time for us to speak out and make change.
Here’s the low down on our partnership:
What’s The JED Foundation?
The JED Foundation is a nonprofit organization that helps to protect the emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation's teens and young adults. Partnering with high schools and colleges, they’re strengthening the mental health, substance misuse, and suicide prevention programs across America. The JED Foundation is breaking down the stigma associated with mental health issues in teens and providing a safe space for open dialogue.
How’s Peace Out getting involved?
With the purchase of our new Acne Champ Set, 10% of proceeds will go directly to The JED Foundation––not just this month, but every month. We hope that this ongoing partnership provides a safe community, countless resources, and continuous support for our acne-prone youth and beyond.
