One Tree Planted
WHAT IS ONE TREE PLANTED?
One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. Their mission is to plant new trees in order to restore nature and biodiversity. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.
WHY TREES?
Did you know that 15 billion trees are cut down each year? Since our product boxes are made of paper and as a member of an industry known for using excessive packaging, we want to help combat deforestation. We plan to plant 500 trees per month to start, and as our company continues to grow so will this number.
Our Plan For The Future
RECYCLABILITY
We're diligently working towards making all of our product recyclable and made from post-consumer recycled materials. This will help us decrease our impact on the forests.
CARBON FOOTPRINT
We hope to have a neutral carbon footprint by 2026 by working with suppliers, retailers and manufacturers and by partnering with organizations that take carbon out of the environment.
SUPPLIER ACCOUNTABILITY
We work with our suppliers to ensure that their processes align with our green values. Our main supplier is both SFI Certified (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) and FSC Certified (Forest Stewardship Council)!
GREEN TIPS
SHOP SUSTAINABLY
Make sure the companies you shop from have a transparent sustainability plan. If you can't find one, ask them!
UPCYCLE
Upcycle products when you can! For example, save your ecommerce shipping boxes for the next time you need to send something in a box.
PLAN AHEAD
If you're shopping IRL, bring your own bag. If you're grabbing coffee, bring your own reusable cup. There are so many ways to reduce your single use plastic consumption!
