In honor of Mother’s Day, we asked team Peace Out to share the best skincare advice they ever received from their mothers. From moisturizing tips to sun safety, here’s what our Peace Out mamas had to say:
Never Too Early To Start Moisturizing
“When I was little I used to love to sit and watch my grandma get ready. She would always wrap us in robes and put thick cream on our faces and told me it was "for wrinkles". She was the first person I had seen use a mascara wand on their eyebrows to make them darker and hold them in place. She had always been ahead of the curve." --Missy, Marketing Assistant Coordinator
Less Is More
“My mom always told me to keep my skincare routine short and simple. I have a cleanser, serum, SPF and moisturizer––less is more!” --Corrine, Copywriter
Work Hard, Moisturize Harder
“My mom is a first generation immigrant who raised three boys independently. It’s hard to pinpoint one thing she taught me, because in reality, she has taught me everything there is to know about life. Work hard, love harder, and always moisturize!” --Sean, Administrative Assistant
SPF, Always
“From a young age, whether I was getting ready for a swim meet or going to a friend’s birthday party, my mom always reminded me about the dangers of the sun while she smothered me in sunscreen. Now as a young adult, I keep my skincare routine super simple and never skimp on the sunscreen!” --Cayla, Ecommerce Marketing Associate
